Ashley works closely with our Founder, Michelle Guy to support the development of programs and the overall management of the Centre.

Hi, I’m Ashley,

As the Client Care Coordinator at Acorn & Anchor, I support clients through the referral and intake process and provide support throughout their involvement. I also take part in co-planning and facilitating groups and programs, and supporting the our therapists as needed.

As someone with a neurodivergent brain, I have a deep understanding of the unique qualities, characteristics, and challenges associated with being twice-exceptional (2e) and gifted.  I have great experience working with my highly sensitive, people-pleasing, and perfectionist parts. Because of this, I am passionate about the work that is being done at the Centre, and I truly value the foundational concept that the "right fit" for a therapeutic relationship is a key factor in the success of therapy.

My learning goals as an intern therapist align with the relational focus, values, modalities, and practice methods at Acorn & Anchor, and I am excited to be mentored in the "Acorn & Anchor Approach". I aim to create a meaningful connection with clients at the Centre from the very beginning, ensuring that I provide the best support for their therapeutic process in every way I can. I  provide support with executive functioning, emotional regulation, burn out, personal and relational dynamics, as well as forming healthy boundaries and coping mechanisms.

In addition to my formal education and personal experience, I am also an active self-directed learner, and I am currently working towards enhanced IFS training to support the Centre in the work with complex minds, complex trauma (C-PTSD) and any other lifelong trauma associated with neurodivergence.

I understand the importance of feeling truly heard, seen, understood, and validated, and I aspire to support clients in the best way possible. I look forward to meeting you.
