Hello, I'm Trishna!

As a therapist at Acorn & Anchor, I am attuned and focused on providing therapy to my clients using the foundational A&A Approach with GTI-m clients. I have many years of experience as a psychotherapist and bring my own personal experience and education to Acorn & Anchor with authenticity in sessions with my clients. With a trauma-informed lens, and as an IFS-informed therapist, I support clients in moving beyond survival strategies and into more authentic, embodied ways of living. So, in a way, my work with clients is depth-focused. I work with children, adolescents, and adults, including those who are neurodivergent, LGBTQIA+, or navigating experiences that fall outside dominant norms. My approach is rooted in a deep trust in each person’s inner wisdom, and I hold space for both nervous system regulation and relational safety.

In addition to my Master's level Education in Social Work and I am also a therapist trained in Presence-Oriented Psychotherapy and Dance Movement Therapy. I draw on somatic, arts-based, and mindfulness practices to support people in reconnecting with themselves and making sense of their emotional landscapes, especially when words fall short.

I am also trained in grief, suicide, and bereavement therapy and am a queer-affirming, certified sexuality educator.

I’m particularly drawn to the tender, in-between spaces of life, and with permission, we can safely approach explorations of sexuality and identity, experiences of grief, mental health concerns, and life transitions that stir vulnerability and self-doubt. In these spaces, I invite curiosity, compassion, and the courage to be with what arises.

Whether I’m offering therapy or psycho-education, I center values of autonomy, inclusion, and creativity. I honour individual lived experience as vital to the healing process.

My practice is not just informed by training, but by ongoing unlearning of societal beliefs, cultural humility, and a commitment to collective care.
