Hello, I'm Annie

I am a neurodivergent, queer person who understands the complexities and additional challenges that can come with these lived experiences. I understand the value of having access to spaces and relationships that support the vulnerability and discomfort of authentic growth and exploration. I am dedicated to providing that same opportunity for each individual I work with.

I am an avid home cook and baker, and I am often exploring new restaurants, cafes, and bakeries across the city. I enjoy urban hiking, strength training, and somatic movement.

I have spent 8+ years working with children, youth, and adults across a variety of educational and recreational settings. My therapeutic approach is informed by my previous experience in early childhood education, human services, and providing home care. I am passionate about supporting children and youth with emotional regulation, communication, and social-emotional skill development. I value a holistic approach that supports parents in collaboratively building a toolkit of strategies tailored to each family’s unique strengths and challenges around daily routines, transitions, attunement, and co-regulation.

I have done extensive research at the intersections of child development, care work, and critical, anti-oppressive perspectives on mental health, disability, difference, and distress. This learning has fostered an approach grounded in a deep humility and curiosity for experiences that may feel hard to describe, or have been previously misunderstood.

My lived experience informs the quality of support I strive to provide. I believe meaningful change comes from developing a shared understanding of the root causes of the challenges you're facing. From there, I take a creative, interdisciplinary approach to finding strategies that align with your strengths and interests, and feel like a supportive, expansive addition to your life.

If you are ready to: (1) deepen your self-knowledge to develop a positive, empowered self-identity, (2) find curious, courageous, playful approaches to navigating life’s challenges and transitions, and (3) develop new strategies to respond to patterns that are no longer serving you, I would LOVE to discuss how I might be able to support you.
