Japneet has over 10 years of experience and uses a relational, strengths-based approach in practice.
Hello!
I'm Japneet, I work with kids age 8 and up, and their families and adults. I use an integrative approach to meet the unique needs of each client and family I work with. This includes practicing with a relational, attachment focused, and strengths-based theoretical base, along with an anti-oppressive and trauma-informed framework with clients.

I put relationship first with each individual client and I incorporate modalities such as mindfulness, cognitive-behavioural, client-focused, dialectical-behavioural, motivational interviewing, narrative therapy, IFS, and others.

My use of an individual-focused and integrative approach can help clients gain insight into their circumstances, empower them towards reaching their personal goals, and learn ways to effectively manage life's challenges.

When working with children and youth, I provide expressive arts based activities and creative approaches to create learning and understanding of self-regulation and skills for managing anxiety, sadness and other strong emotions including the Brain Animals Model at Acorn & Anchor..
