Dungeons & Dragons as narrative therapy can provide children with a unique way to process their emotions, improve social skills, and develop their sense of identity. The game serves as both a positive framework and a therapeutic tool, enabling children to embrace who they are and explore their aspirations in a playful and supportive environment.
Therapeutic Focus:
Acorn & Anchor is no stranger to the impact of social isolation on the wellbeing of neuro-exceptional & GTIm folks. Through the collaborative efforts of our experienced team of professionals,
our programs are created as a safe space for all!

While groups and social connection have positive implications for mental health, we also implement therapeutic strategies and skill-building to support prevention & begin intervention for our typical client population.
Depending on the unique needs of each program cohort, areas of focus may include social skills, anxiety management, self-leadership, self-image, and other areas identified.

This therapeutic focus allows the program to be eligible for coverage under most insurance providers.
