Hello, I am Amina!
I’m an intern at Acorn and Anchor, currently completing my Master of Social Work at the University of Toronto. I’m grateful for the opportunity to learn, grow, and contribute to the work being done at the centre. I’m particularly interested in supporting children and youth as they navigate life’s challenges. I believe every child has the potential to build resilience and heal when given the right support. Through therapy, I hope to offer a space where children and youth of all backgrounds feel heard and understood to develop the tools they need to thrive in the future they envision. I prefer in-person sessions at the Centre in Toronto and may be open to some virtual sessions if needed.
My approach to therapy is client-centred and strengths-based. I believe and respect that every human is an expert in their own experiences, and through collaboration, we can work together to meet your unique needs. I am committed to continuously learning to improve my practice, and that includes providing evidence-based care.
I am currently fully supervised by the AATC Founder, Michelle L. Guy. I am looking forward to working with you.
