Background: 

 

I am a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) and Drama Therapist with additional training in Play therapy, Child-Parent Relationship Therapy (CPRT), and Poetry therapy (Narrative therapy). Based in an understanding of the systemic, intergenerational and intercultural realities which individuals face, I use an integrative approach, which is individualized to the client and their developmental stage, creative capacity and anxiety threshold. 

 

I believe that creativity can be used as a tool for expression for all ages. 

My therapeutic approach is person centred, strengths based, and focused around building on self-knowledge and self-mastery of challenges. 

 I am currently practicing within Acorn and Anchor Therapy Centre, under the clinical supervision of the practice leader, Michelle L. Guy.  I integrate trauma-informed approaches into my work to build trust and  safety as the foundation of the therapeutic relationship.
