Works with Youth (12+), Adults, and Couples
In-person & Online Therapy
Over 30 years of experience working with children, youth, and families.
My Background
I have over 30 years’ experience working with children, youth, adults, couples and
families in a variety of settings, with those experiencing a broad spectrum of life circumstances. I have experience in working with Neurodiversity, specifically Giftedness and ADHD (2e) and those with symptoms of anxiety, depression and other mental health related issues.
In practice, I currently work with individual youth and adults (aged 12+) and their families, parents, couples, LGBTQ+ individuals, and those in multi-partner or polyamorous relationships. My passion and commitment to working with neurodivergence, gender and sexuality diverse folks, bright, intense-minded individuals has been a common thread throughout my professional practice.
I have gained an invaluable amount of experience and knowledge, formally, personally, as well as by learning from the people I work with over the years. I base my practice using authenticity, by being rooted in theoretical frameworks and modalities in an integrative, person-focused manner. I use the approaches shared throughout Acorn & Anchor Therapy Centre.
Some of my specialties include: Relationship and/or attachment challenges, Parenting support, Body & Brain Connection, Gender & Sexual Diversity, Anxiety and/or Depression, Trauma informed work, CBT, and other evidence based therapies, Communication, Conflict Resolution, & supporting executive function.
I offer guidance, support, accountability and practical education in sessions to create the conditions to strive for “whole autonomy”, or the sense of integration between how one is thinking, feeling, and being in their brain, body, and the world.
