Michelle L. Guy, MSW, RSW
Hi there, I am an experienced Social Worker who is open to providing clinical supervision to therapists in Ontario either in-person, or online.
I can provide training and support in a variety of interventions and with a wide scope of practice experience with diverse populations. I have over 13 years in Children's Mental Health and 15 years in Child Welfare as a Family Service Worker, Intake and in a complex role, as a Prenatal Care/Child Protection worker (12 years).
I have over 15+ years of experience providing supervision to MSW/BSW and CYC Practitioners and Students. I provide therapy to other clinicians and social workers as well. I use humour, trauma-informed approaches and provide required documents for supervision for both students and professionals.
I provide training, consultations and support to agency and organization staff and leaders, and have extensive experience over the last 25+ years, in public speaking and conference presentations for health, social, child welfare, police services, and other helping professions. I have been a chair and executive member of community health advisory committees and working groups for young people and their families.
I am also an educator, and believe firmly in the pedagogy of clinical and social service work. I have been employed as a professor in Child and Family based programs at Centennial College and George Brown College and served as an adjunct professor for University of Toronto's Faculty of Social Work.
