My Background

I am student at the University of Toronto, working towards my Master of Social Work (graduating June 2022). I am currently completing my clinical placement at Acorn and Anchor Therapy Centre, under the supervision of Michelle Guy. I have been working as a Child and Youth Care Practitioner since 2016, primarily with youth who experience mental health challenges, school avoidance, and family relationship dysfunction. In my work with individuals and families, I draw on elements from different therapeutic modalities, including Internal Family Systems, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Narrative Therapy, and Play and Art Therapy. I integrate a relational and trauma-informed approach into my work with clients, to build trust and emotional safety as the foundation of working together toward your goals.

I believe that being client-centred means being flexible in what approaches I use and basing it on the needs of the individual, to meet you where you are at and move forward, together!
