Regina D'cruz

R.P. (Q), Child, youth, and family therapist, Supervised by Michelle L. Guy, MSW/RSW, Psychotherapist.

My Background

I’m an internationally trained RP (Qualifying with supervision of MSW/RSW) with over 6 years of counselling and therapy experience with children, adolescents, young adults, and parents. I have expertise and training in child and adolescent development and trauma response systems, relational approaches, parent & child/youth communication, and the complexities of giftednes/2e and ASD. Many of these challenges present in relationships, and as symptoms like anger, depression, anxiety, existentialism, self-esteem/worth issues, and sometimes, self-harm/suicidality. I also have work experience with LGBTQ+ community. I practice using the Acorn & Anchor Model of Practice including the core value of relationship first.  This integrative approach and my own clinical and personal experience is integrated to meet each individual clients unique needs.  I also come to my practice with extensive experience working with people from a variety of cultures, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds.

I believe the relationship I share with my client is key. I help them focus in on and build upon their inherent strengths, understand new perspectives, and learn skills to work on identified issues and their overall mental health.

I look forward to connecting with you and supporting you no matter where you are on your journey.
